UPDATE...

It has been two days since the dreadful TV accident. Maddie is still in pain, but her swelling isn't too bad anymore (just mostly above her nose). She had lots of pain in her mouth yesterday and for part of today, but slowly she is wanting to eat more. She is still super sleepy and today we took her to the clinic to get checked because she had a high fever last night, a runny nose all day today and was telling disoriented stories in bed last night. For instance....

Maddie: "I need to go in the toaster."

Mom: "in the toaster?"

Maddie: "Yeah in the toaster with those peoples."

Mom: "What people?"

Maddie: "The peoples eating donuts. I need da go in the toaster with the peoples mom."

A little weird! I was worried because the paper they gave us said if she has clear liquid come out the nose, a fever and sleeps way more than usual that we needed to bring her back in. Good news was she is still fine, bad news is....she caught a cold or flu in the emergency room the other night. So, to top off her "egg goose" (as she calls it) on her head and her busted up mouth and lip, she has to deal with the flu too!

Yesterday all of her aunties tried to bring her some cheer...
Aunt "Embily" brought her a new fish. Thanks a lot Em. I hate fish. Maddie chose to name him "sparkling." She also brought her a GIANT goodie bag of dollar store toys, of which the pom poms are her favorite.

Auntie Sarah bought her a sweet DR. outfit that came fully equipped with everything she could need to do check-ups with. Maddie checked us each out and told us "you not sick anymore." Auntie Amy also brought her some new "Wonder Pet" figurines that she loves and carried to her Dr. visit tonight.

This was her puffy face when she finally woke up at NOON today! Poor thing. She sneezed all day long and kept saying, "my egg goose itches."

This was her tonight after the Doctor visit. She found herself a Dora band-aid and said, "I fixed my head all better!"
