Zoo School
My adorable niece works at the Idaho Falls zoo as a volunteer and the zoo happened to have a zoo class that Maddie got to take while we were there. We learned about tortoises and hares and read the book, made finger puppets and then met the characters in real life. Maddie was so cute and raising her hand like she was in school, answering all the questions. My favorite was during the story, the lady asked the kids who they thought was going to win the race. Maddie raised her hand and said, "I am going to win." She was totally clueless. We took a tour of the zoo afterwards and because Brianna works there, she got us special permission to see the new baby penguins that are locked in a room where the public can't see them yet. She loved them, but couldn't figure out why they had to stink so badly.
