Gratitude Prayer

Maddie loves to say her prayers at bedtime, but won't pray at meals or any other time.  She used to still want help until about a month ago,  now she says whatever she feels and it is awesome.  If she falls asleep too early and doesn't get her prayers in, she wakes up and tells me how sad Jesus is that she didn't say her prayers.  What a doll.  Here is her last two prayers combined into one.  She really did this without an ounce of help.  What a good little heart and spirit she has. I had a pen and paper ready this time.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for our eyes so we can see. Thank you for our ears so we can hear. Thank you for our legs so we can walk and our knees so we can bend them.  Thank you for our clothes so we don't be naked.  Thank you for our teeth so we can eat stuff. Thank you for our warm beds and pillows to snuggle in so we don't freeze.. Thank you for our arms so we can pick up stuff. Thank you for our hair so we can twirl it in our fingers. Thank you for our shirts so we can wear them. Help us be good and patient and nice and help us don't be bad. Bless dad at his job  cuz we miss him and to be safe and good because we love him. Bless the prophet Monson and his missionaries and help them to feel the spirit like they did when Jesus was born on his birthday.  Thank you for Jesus.  Help us not drink coffee or beer or alcohol or smoke cuz that's bad. Help us be like Jesus and to not be bad like the devil. Help us be good to our parents cuz that is nice. Help us say good words to people. And help us to Be just like Jesus. Name Jesus Christ amen.

What a little blessing she is in our lives.
