Random Posting
I don't have much to post about so I am just going to spew out lots of random things, but with pictures so it isn't as boring!
We have a had a pretty boring week. It has been so cold and stormy that we haven’t been able to go anywhere. The other morning we woke up and our thermometer said it was -45 degrees Celsius and so we skipped church. I know for a fact my poor car wont start in this cold since I don’t have a block heater! This whole week has been at least -20!! I am sick of being cold, but it hasn't stopped Maddie from craving "eye creams" (ice cream).
Amy is still hanging at our house and since we were stuck here, her boyfriend, Jeffrey, came to our house for the weekend. Maddie fell right in love with him after he gave her a present to open. He even brought the movie, "Horton Hears a Who," and they have been buddies ever since.

Steve was somewhat of a scrooge and didn’t want to spend money on an Christmas decorations because we were going to be in Utah for the holiday. Plans have taken a huge turn and we most likely will be stuck here for Christmas. Steve doesn’t know when he will get off of work yet and they aren’t planning on giving them much time. It is still all up in the air, but doesn’t look so promising. So…Amy and Jeff decided to go out in the yard and cut us down a tree and even bought lights, balls, and candy canes to decorate the poor thing. It is a cute, pathetic little tree…looks like Charlie Brown’s Christmas. As soon as they put lights on, all the branches started drooping. It was so cute of them to do that for us. Maddie woke up from her nap and saw the Christmas tree in the living room. She was so excited and said,”oh, goon-ness, chriffus twee.” (oh goodness, a Christmas Tree)

While we were laying in bed the other night, Maddie finished her prayers and said. “nigh-night daddy,” and then she said, “home daddy, home.” She was telling Steve to come home, even though she wasn’t‘ talking to him. Maddie misses him so much. They are best friends and when he is gone, she is so different. She has more attitude (“adamtude” is how she would say it) and she is always pretending he is around. She will make sure to always include him in our conversations or when she is playing. She randomly will find his stuff and carry it around with her. She will go in our closet and pull his shirts off the hangers and push them around in her baby stroller and will wrap his ties around her neck like a necklace. Every time the phone rings, she exclaims with bright eyes, “daddy call!” We both just can’t wait to have him around again. Things just aren’t the same without him here and you can tell there is something definitely missing around our house. We really need his laugh to brighten up the mood around here! Hopefully we will see him soon, we sure are missing him. Tomorrow will be 14 days since he went to camp. He can't come home soon enough!! We sure love and miss you baby.
Steve’s cousin Jesse unexpectedly stopped by the other night with a load of wood for us. He was throwing the wood over the deck next to our back door and as I was talking to him, Maddie said, “danks, Jesse.” (thanks, Jesse) and now every time she looks out the window and sees some of the wood he brought us, she will say, “danks, Jesse.” She is so sweet and we are so glad Jesse brought some more wood so we didn’t have to go out in the cold to split some! Thanks for taking care of us while Steve is gone.
Maddie and Lola are so funny. They will fight over her princess chair in the living room. Maddie is finally starting to stick up for herself and will pull on Lola's collar and yank her off when she wants to sit on it. Lola will try sitting on the chair with her and it is just a funny cycle over and over. They still do love the princess castle though.

When Lola is really hyper and being a pest or if she is barking at the door to come back in the house from going potty, Maddie will say, “psycho Lola.” In the mornings when Lola wakes up and starts whining to get out, Maddie will be in bed with me and wake up and say, “SHHH, quiet Lola.” The other day I was listening to Maddie play with her stuffed dog toy. She was petting him and saying, “oh, wittle, shweet-heart,” (little sweetheart) and then she would say “it ok.” She was so cute with him.
Maddie peeling carrots for our chicken noodle soup
Maddie helping Amy make their 40th batch of cookies! (maybe that was a little exaggerated)
Maddie wearing Amys hat and reading Muscle and Fitness magazine of dads. Steve taught her a bad word. When she looks through the magazine, she will look at the men and say, "mew-cells," (muscles) and when she sees an ad with a woman in a bikini, she says, "kank. " (skank)
Maddie feeding the stray kitty some tuna. She loves this kitty so much that Amy bought her a stuffed gray cat at IKEA
Maddie loves to do puzzles (baby ones)
She calls a butterfly and "uppa-fy."
When she drops something or does something wrong, she says, "uppa deesy" (oops-a-daisy)
She will try to sing the alphabet song and says, "a-b-c-d-x-y-z, sing wif me."
When Maddie sees a bra in the store, or even on me, she will point and say, "ug-a-lee." (ugly) Im not sure what she has against them, but she better start liking them before she has to wear one!.JPG)
My sweet baby girl and me. I wish she never had to grow up. She is the best thing that has ever happened to us!
