Lethbridge
We took a weekend trip to Lethbridge to visit grandma Cindy and to take Maddie to her first dental appointment.  I know she should have seen a dentist years ago, but I have been selfish because I knew it would be a huge fight, and it was.  The dentist didn't even get to peek at her teeth, even while she sat on my lap.  Basically, they made an appointment to knock her out so they could x-ray, clean, fill her cavity and seal her other teeth...otherwise, nothing will get accomplished.  She still got a sweet princess puzzle from Dr. Hall's treasure box and afterwards we went on a girls date together and had dinner at Arby's because she wanted "curley's" (fries) and then saw the new Shrek movie.
The rest of the weekend was full of rain, snow, rain, swimming, rain, movies, rain, a cancelled parade, snow, shopping, food, rain, and more fun with grandma and grandpa, a few aunties and grandmas newest foster kids.  Maddie had a blast getting to play with the girls all day and night.  They did puzzles, played ball, saw the movie "Furry with a Vengeance", danced, told stories, told jokes and were your typical kids!  We missed daddy, who had to work his first real shift at the coal mine. We stayed away an extra day so he could sleep between his night shifts without us being there to keep him awake!  Thanks for letting us crash at your home uncle Adam, we had a great time living there for you while you are away for the summer!!
Maddie and Tina (they are only a few weeks apart and Tina towers Maddie!)
Maddie getting on the slide.  They had life vests for the kids and when grandma put one on Maddie she said, "I feel like a squished marshmallow" and refused to wear it.  ha ha
