Helena
Instead of meeting Steve in Great Falls like we have the last few times, we ventured to Helena, MT. We had a blast as usual spending time as a family. We spent even MORE time in the pool this trip because Maddie can't get enough! She might be part fish, or maybe mermaid, not sure just yet but if her legs ever turn into that flipper tail, I will be sure to post pictures. We did the usual shopping for nothing, went and saw "Gnomeo and Juliet," (totally lame for us, but Maddie loved it), swam, ate out, watched lots of movies on TV, colored until 90% of the crayons were broken, played too many games of "Zingo" and did some exploring in the car while eating ice cream shakes at nights. The trip was perfect until Sunday morning when Steve went to start the car for church and hurt his lower back. He has had this injury a few times and it cripples him. He hobbled as best he could Sunday and left early Monday morning, barely able to drive himself back to Canada to get to the emergency room. Poor guy. They did nothing but give him drugs at the hospital and after missing work most of the week, he got some relief from a physiotherapist and was able to fly back up to work on Thursday. The worst part of being apart is not being able to help each other through hard times such as these. I am so glad he is okay and feeling better and even more glad that we got to spend the weekend with him.
Ready to go shopping in the FREEZING cold
Steve's eyes are totally closed, but look how cute Maddie is cuddling up to him. She just adores him.
Ready for church with her "owl tote" until dad had his back accident
Candy lips
This is how Maddie dresses herself after a bath. Snowboots are SO "in" with swimsuits!
