"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.

I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.

I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.

I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.

I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.

I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Clips

Here are a few clips of Maddie singing so that her grandma's can see her!!!

Maddie singing her ABC's...this isn't her best performance, but she HATES being taped with a passion!! Also, her water is a sick green color because she had a green tubby crayon that is all melted in the water.

This one is my favorite. The other day, she picked out the book, "Hey Diddle, Diddle," and had the thing memorized within two hours of getting home. She loves to recite it and used to say, "the dishwasher and the spoon," instead of the dish ran away with the spoon. Now she just waits for you to say it.

Maddie loves to sing the "Wonder Pets" song but has only seen the show a few times. She has a ming ming doll (the duck) and loves it to pieces. She always substitutes baby Suzy in the song because that is her dolls name.
