Easter in Review..

We had a great Easter weekend in Elkford as a family.  Saturday afternoon after General Conference (listening on the internet isn’t quite as fun as on the TV at my parents in Utah) we headed over to our friends for their Easter dinner. Kristin and Dusty made some delicious turkey, potatoes, bread, devilled eggs and we brought some homemade cream corn and cheesecake. We laughed until our abs were sore and had a great time spending time with them. Thanks for inviting us to crash your holiday, it was truly awesome.

Sunday morning, Steve woke up and made us German pancakes (a conference weekend tradition at my parents) and Maddie woke up to a small scavenger hunt from the Easter Bunny. She used the clues he left to find herself…a ton of candy, a new Belle princess Barbie that came with its own pink horse, and a scooter. We might have gone overboard and spoiled her a bit..ooops. We planned on hanging out the rest of the day in our pajamas but got a call to meet the stake president for our temple interviews. We were gone most of the day traveling to Jaffray (1 ½ hours away) and back, but it was worth it. It was the only time to get them signed before Steve and I go to Utah next week to be sealed in the Temple. We are super excited.

We got home and Steve’s sister Emily and her friend Roman came to stay the night on their road trip to Vancouver. Maddie wanted to take them to the river to throw “duck farts” (if you don’t know what that is, ask Steve to throw a rock in the river to make the perfect duck fart sound), and then we watched Monsters Inc and Maddie loved it.  We have watched it 4 times this week.   We had a great time with them!! All in all, it was a great Easter weekend.
