Head Trauma

Poor Maddie has had quite a week.  Monday her sweet auntie Emily let her get a little too close to the deer outside our gate and he kicked her in the head (thankfully above the eye and it wasn't as bad as it could have been).  Then yesterday, as I was doing her hair to go hang out with our friends, I found a deer tick on the back of her head.  Thankfully, my buddy Kristin, was an expert at tick removal and did the deed for me!  Maddie cried pretty hard and when the tick came out, had a good chunk of her skin attached to its head.  I don't think her head can take much more this week.  Poor kid!
On a happier note, Emily brought the movie "Monsters Inc." last week and Maddie is no longer afraid of monsters.  She thinks they are scared of her instead.  Thanks Emily.
