Canada Day

I was excited to be here for Canada Day.  It is just like the 4th of July in the States.  We got up too late for the parade, but headed over to Henderson Park where there were festivities going on all day long.  Maddie was in heaven, especially because we are dog sitting Adam and Vic's new puppies (Izzy and Cocoa) and decided to bring them along so they weren't home alone all day.  She is an animal lover!  We had a great time at the park and ended up meeting up with his mom and her foster girls and aunts, Katie, Telisa and Amy.  Maddie got a fake butterfly tattoo, her face painted, went to the petting zoo, painted on the wall, watched a dog show, touched a snake at the reptile stand, ate an entire scone the size of her head, got spoiled by her grandma and aunts and later that night we got pizza and then watched the fireworks at Henderson Lake.  What a great day.  Maddie was in heaven and there isn't anything more enjoyable than watching your child be happy.
